While the library's primary responsibility is to the BSC community (that is, current students, faculty, and staff), alumni, friends of the College, members of the local community, and students and other affiliates of area college and universities are also welcome to use the library, in compliance with library policies for these groups. Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Guests of the library are able to connect mobile devices to the library's wireless network. Click here for instructions.
In order to print from a college computer, community patrons, alumni, and other guests of the College may purchase a print card at the Circulation Desk. The cost for a new card is a minimum of $1.00. Print cards may be refilled in any amount for future use. Black and white printing is $0.07 per page. Color printing is available for $0.27 per page. To print in color, documents must be sent to the main floor copier (titled "libmain_copier") after selecting the appropriate color mode under the printer properties menu.
Print cards are only avaiable to print from college-owned computers. Printing from a personal laptop or other wireless device is not possible at this time. Print cards may also be used directly at the library's copiers in order to make photocopies. For those wishing to make photocopies and who do not want to purchase a print card, a coin-operated copier is available on the main floor of the library for $0.10 per page. This copier takes any silver coin, and library staff can make change at the Circulation Desk.
